Kemper County is the home of the main campus of East Mississippi Community College (EMCC), which has a workforce development program that is recognized as one of the best in the state.

EMCC Workforce Services provides both credit and non-credit classes in healthcare, manufacturing technology and engineering, and computer applications for workers to improve skills, learn new skills, or train for a new career path.

For-credit courses include

Customized Training for Business & Industry

EMCC also partners with local businesses and industries to develop customized training that meets their specific workforce needs. This customized training is developed in concert with the business or industry, working closely with the client to establish goals and determine desired outcomes. Instruction will include both lectures and hands-on training.
