Kemper County is made of of five separate districts with each district electing a duly appointed supervisor to oversee the district as well as the county as a whole. These five supervisors meet several times during the months to make decisions pertaining to the county and its affairs.
Kemper County is also home to the town of DeKalb and the town of Scooba. Each town has an elected mayor and Board of Alderman. These individuals govern and make decisions regarding the operation of each town.
